Jayne Cobb Costume

Once I'd figured out how to cosplay with guns, Jayne Cobb (from Firefly, at right) came together with almost no effort:

• Shoes: The lace-up work-type boots I'd gotten for my first pirate costume would work great.
• Pants: I could use the khaki pants I'd gotten for Indiana Jones; in fact, I had the cross-use in mind when I bought them.
• T-shirt: Although I didn't have any of the specific shirts Jayne wore in the show, I figured it'd be fine to wear any Firefly-themed T-shirt.
• Gloves: I could wear my bike gloves, since Jayne does occasionally wear fingerless gloves, as in the photo below:

  

So, all I really needed was the hat (as in pic at left). I believe that's important to make Jayne really recognizable. So, unless I win one in a Can't Stop the Serenity raffle or get really ambitious, I figure I'm not really able to properly cosplay Jayne.
